SHE Nepal

SHE-Nepal, non-profit making, non political and non-governmental organization, plans to undertake an objective ensuring children have improved access to education, protection and healthcare apart from the restoration of child-rights and empowerment of children to bring creative and positive change through community based solutions. In addition, it is focused towards working with disadvantaged groups. Its targeted working groups have been the underprivileged women and socially discriminated people including untouchable minorities of the nation. Since its inception, it it has been restlessly working to raise the awareness on child rights, gender discrimination as well as health issues. It is officially registered with District Administration Office (DAO) of Kathmandu in 2015 and affiliated with Social Welfare Council (CWC) under Ministry of Women and Social Welfare.

SHE Nepal is running a shelter home for orphanage and homeless children through the combined effort of Maya Nepal ry Finland where all of the children are treated with respect regardless of race, color, language, religion, ethnic of social origin, property, disability, birth or other status.

We envision a world in which all children can pursue a quality education, reach their full potential and contribute to their community and the world.

To achieve this goal, we focus on two areas where we believe we can have the greatest impact: literacy and gender equality in education. We work in collaboration with communities and local governments across Nepal to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the life skills they’ll need to succeed in school and beyond.

We are committed to promoting gender equality in and through education systems from early childhood to higher education, in formal, non-formal and informal settings and in all intervention areas from planning infrastructure to training teachers. Besides, we are also keen on relief programs in any necessary condition.

Education is very important for every child whether boy or girl. It is sad that some communities still discriminate against the education of the girl child. About 57million children, majority of them girls, around the world are not going to school. So lets educate her and lets do it together.
