About Us

SHE-Nepal, non-profit making, non political and non-governmental organization, plans to undertake an objective ensuring children have improved access to education, protection and healthcare apart from the restoration of child-rights and empowerment of children to bring creative and positive change through community based solutions. In addition, it is focused towards working with disadvantaged groups. Its targeted working groups have been the underprivileged women and socially discriminated people including untouchable minorities of the nation. Since its inception, it it has been restlessly working to raise the awareness on child rights, gender discrimination as well as health issues. It is officially registered with District Administration Office (DAO) of Kathmandu in 2015 and affiliated with Social Welfare Council (CWC) under Ministry of Women and Social Welfare.

We focus on social awarness through organization of series of events including motivational programs, skill development programmes and similar kinds of programmes to encourage education for all.

Our Mission

  • Eliminate gender discrimination in every walk of social life.
  • Empowerment of destitute and deprived women by means of income generation, co-operation credit and saving programs.
  • Increase employment opportunities for people of backward communities by means of vocational skill development trainings and guiding them accordingly in employment and self-employment.
  • Increase self-respect and self-reliance among the rural people of the community.
  • Uproot as far as possible social evil such as superstition, gender discrimination, child-marriage and untouchability.

Ongoing Activities

SHE-Nepal at present is running a shelter home for orphans and homeless children with the joint effort of Maya Nepal under the financial aids from Finland where children are treated with respect regardless of race, colour and religion, ethnic of social origin, disability or other status.
